SOLAR SERVICES

PV systems are sized by two different ways. 1. Your budget 2. Available roof area. We can custom design any size system that fits your needs. We handle all permits, installation and sub metering agreement with HECO.

Which ever system you choose I believe I can get you the best price. I take care of everything including city and county permits, net metering agreement with HECO, Inspections, rebate forms and tax forms etc.

For photovoltaic systems, the maximum allowable state credits are as follows:

  • Single family residential property is eligible for a credit of 35% of the actual cost or $5,000, whichever is less;
  • Multi-family residential property is eligible for a credit of 35% of the actual cost or $350 per unit, whichever is less; and
  • Commercial property is eligible for a credit of 35% of the actual cost or $500,000, whichever is less.

Tax Credits for Solar Photovoltaics and Water Heating Systems

Federal tax credits are available for residential and commercial solar energy systems placed in service between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2008.

Residential Tax Credits – For solar water heaters and solar electric (PV) systems, the tax credit is 30% of the equipment and installation cost, with a maximum tax credit of $2,000.

Commercial Tax Credits – For solar water heaters, solar electric (PV) systems, and solar hybrid lighting, the tax credit is 30% of the equipment and installation cost, with no maximum limit. With tax credits after 5-6 years the electrical saving with solar panels will pay themselves off and after that period it is free electricity. Federal and State tax credits can be up to 65%, which makes this investment viable. Plus the cost of a solar system can be depreciated in 5 years.

  • Photovoltaic solar systems produce clean non-polluting energy. They are safe for our environment and are the responsible choice for future generations.
  • Photovoltaic systems have no moving parts and are virtually maintenance free. Most manufactures offer 20 to 25 year warranties on modules.
  • Solar panels on the roof will also keep the building cooler due to sun blocking.
  • Energy costs will continue to rise but a solar system net metering is constant.
